WorldsAid promotes human rights and supports people in need of assistance during natural disasters, human-made disasters and emergencies.
WorldsAid acts as a knowledge-monitoring platform, relaying information about crisis needs to NGOs, suppliers and the general public to help develop and deploy innovative procurement solutions. Our primary goal is to unify all needs within a transparent, efficient platform.
In addition, we aim to improve decision-making, efficiency and accountability by providing better information on humanitarian assistance and crisis needs through an open and inclusive portal for the public, NGOs and suppliers. We also aim to provide a window through which the public and governments can account for funds supplied to agencies managing crises on the ground.
One name
The lowercase domain is only the web address. Across the product, editorial work, verification notes and public communications, the name is WorldsAid.
The open hand and the white world map held in its palm signify human support reaching across the world: a universal hand of support, open and reaching out.
Who we are
WorldsAid was researched and updated manually until 2022. Since then, the team has gradually introduced AI as a positive, human-directed tool. Its purpose is to support and improve our efforts to strengthen humanitarian assistance and keep clearer, more reliable records, while people remain responsible for editorial decisions.
Why it exists
Humanitarian evidence is often scattered across feeds, situation reports and institutional websites. WorldsAid turns those fragments into readable, source-linked crisis records while keeping dates, uncertainty and changes visible.
Funding and independence
WorldsAid does not claim funding, endorsement or formal partnership from the agencies whose reporting it references. Any future grant, sponsor or research partnership will be disclosed here so readers can judge the work with the right context.

We believe decision-making should be informed by evidence and that reliable information is fundamental to improved accountability and effectiveness.

These independently verifiable references demonstrate research use; they do not imply endorsement or partnership. WorldsAid preserves the cited legacy addresses and connects them to the current, source-linked crisis records so that older references remain usable.
Evidence sources
WorldsAid crisis records use reporting from organisations and services including UN OCHA's ReliefWeb, World Health Organization, International Labour Organization, Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, UNHCR, Copernicus Emergency Management Service and GDACS. Each source remains attributable to its publisher; inclusion does not imply a formal partnership.
Future potential
WorldsAid has the potential to support traceable longitudinal research, crisis comparison, citation-ready datasets, verified briefs, historical replay and better coordination between researchers, responders, governments and the public. These are future directions, not claims about current deployment.
