Help for Ukrainian citizens
INFORMATION FOR UKRAINE CITIZENS
1. If you are escaping from the armed conflict in Ukraine, you will be admitted to Poland.
2. If you do not have an assured place of stay in Poland, go to the nearest reception point.
3. At the reception point:
- you will receive more information about your stay in Poland,
- we will provide you with temporary accommodation in Poland,
- you will receive a hot meal, drink, basic medical care and a place to rest.
As a citizen of Ukraine, you can enter Poland on the basis of:
visa-free travel on the basis of a biometric passport;
national visa (D) or Schengen visa (C);
a visa with a D or C designation , or a residence permit issued by another Schengen state;
hold a temporary residence permit, permanent residence or long-term resident's EU residence permit and a valid residence card;
an application for granting international protection, submitted at the Polish border crossing point;
consent of the commanding officer of the Border Guard, given when crossing the border.
General conditions of entry and stay in Poland
If you wish to benefit from the assistance offered by the Polish government after arriving in Poland, please go to one of the reception points listed below. At these points, you will receive a meal, an opportunity to rest and the necessary information.

What's next?
If you entered Poland on the basis of:
visa-free travel on the basis of a biometric passport - your legal stay lasts up to 90 days;
national visa or Schengen visa, issued by the Polish authority - your stay is legal in accordance with the visa validity period and the period of stay indicated therein; After the expiry of the stay on the basis of a national visa, you can continue your stay without departure under the visa-free regime for up to 90 days with a biometric passport;
a visa with a D or C designation, issued by another Schengen state, or a residence permit issued by another Schengen state - your legal stay lasts up to 90 days;
consent of the commander of the Border Guard - your legal stay is 15 days.
If you want to extend your legal stay, you can submit an application for a temporary residence permit before its expiry or, if the conditions for granting a permanent residence permit are met. Such applications are submitted to the voivodeship office competent for the place of stay. Regardless of the above, you will be able to legally stay in the territory of Poland on the basis of special regulations regarding the COVID-19 epidemic.
