Torrential Rains Hit Tirana, Albania

On 9 June, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms affected parts of Albania, resulting in at least two fatalities.

According to reports from media, one person died and another one was injured in Shkodër County (north-western Albania), while one fatality occurred in Vlorë County (south-western Albania). A number of houses have been damaged by floodwaters and lightning events. 

On 10-11 June, moderate to locally heavy rainfall is forecast over Vlorë County and moderate rainfall over Shkodër County.
