Following heavy rainfall from 8 to 9 June 2023, severe flooding has struck the provinces of Granma, Las Tunas, Santiago de Cuba, and Camagüey in Cuba. The Instituto de Meteorología de Cuba (INSMET) reported significant rainfall amounts during this period, with Bartolomé Masó and Jiguani in Granma Province receiving 360 mm and 280.3 mm of rain respectively within a 24-hour span. Contramaestre in Santiago de Cuba Province recorded 248 mm, while Vertientes in Camagüey Province experienced 237 mm of rainfall.
The province of Granma has been the hardest hit by the floods, resulting in the loss of one life. The governor of Granma Province issued a statement acknowledging the extensive damage caused by the floods. Numerous homes have been severely affected, with 279 houses partially or completely destroyed and thousands of others sustaining damage. As of 10 June, it has been reported that approximately 7,259 individuals have been displaced in Granma Province as a result of the flooding.

Las Tunas, Santiago de Cuba, and Camagüey have all experienced varying degrees of damage and displacement due to the heavy rainfall.
