Situation

DSWD DROMIC Report #3, as of 29 September 2026 at 18:00 PHT, recorded 2,413 families or 9,165 people affected across 12 barangays in Davao Oriental. The report counted one totally destroyed house in Tarragona and ₱582,342 in DSWD assistance. Banaybanay recorded 845 affected families / 3,042 people, Mati City 201 families / 655 people, and Tarragona 1,367 families / 5,468 people.

Compared with Report #2 on 26 September, the affected total increased by 135 families and 645 people; the 12-barangay scope and one destroyed house were unchanged. The earlier Report #1 Mati observation of 201 families / 655 people across four barangays remains preserved.

Flooding, flash flooding and landslide incidents were reported from 24 September. DSWD attributes the Mati flooding to persistent rainfall from the trough of a low-pressure area. Queenie intensified into a typhoon over the sea east of Taiwan and exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on 27 September. This record therefore does not imply a direct cyclone landfall or invent casualty or displacement totals.
