Survivors sought from Syria earthquake by emergency White Helmet crews Aftershocks have been felt in Turkey, where the centre of the earthquake was recorded in Pazarcik in Kahramanmaras province.

  •  at least 237 people died and more than 630 others were injured, as reported by media. A State of Emergency has been issued in north-western Syria by the White Elemets authorities.
  • Türkiye requested assistance from the Union Civil Protection Mechanism, UCPM of urban search and rescue modules, so far 13 Member States and Participating States offered assistance.  The European Commission's Copernicus emergency satellite mapping system was activated on 6 February (EMSR648) to support damage assessment.
