The Gaza Strip is facing a dire humanitarian catastrophe as an ongoing conflict intensifies, coupled with a complete blockade on essential supplies, including electricity, fuel, water, and food from Israel. Urgent calls for unimpeded access to basic services and the movement of humanitarian personnel and goods in and out of Gaza have become increasingly critical.

In response to this dire situation, 77 humanitarian organizations, comprising UN agencies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), have jointly released a Flash Appeal, seeking USD 294 million in funding. This emergency appeal is aimed at addressing the immediate needs of 1.26 million people residing in both Gaza and the West Bank over a period of 90 days.

One of the most concerning developments in this crisis is Israel's request for all individuals in northern Gaza, including United Nations personnel and humanitarian workers, to relocate to the south of Wadi Gaza within a mere 24-hour window. This sudden displacement order affects an estimated 1.1 million people, adding further strain to an already dire situation.

The humanitarian community is now rallying to secure the required funds to mitigate the crisis's impact on the vulnerable populations in Gaza and the West Bank. The situation remains fluid, and efforts are underway to ensure immediate relief and access to essential services, while a broader resolution to the conflict remains a pressing concern.
